One of the things that we really needed in this house was storage in the garage. I was so tired of having boxes in the garage stacked up everywhere. I found this video tutorial online a while ago so when we moved here I bugged Alex enough that he decided we should try it. Neither one of us has ever built anything like this so we were a little nervous, but they turned out great and now I feel like we can organize our garage finally!!
Here is a before shot of the space. There is a step up at the end of the garage, and this is where we decided to put the shelf. The girls loved the laser level a little too much when we were using it!!
Here is a great action shot of my husband.

And here is the final product. Total I figure that it cost us about $65 for these shelves and the only tools we used were the level/stud finder and the drill. They are made out of 2X4s and OSB panels. The guys at Lowes were so nice and they will cut the wood for you for free. I love these shelves and can't wait to put all of our junk onto them!!
