Family Pictures

I have this awesome friend that I have known my whole life who recently bought some camera equipment to take pictures on the side. So being the mooch that I am, I called and begged her to take some family pictures for us. Being the great friend that she is, she took us to this awesome park last Sunday and took some great pictures. She also did some enhancing on the photos and I got them back today. We were so happy when we got them back, they turned out so cute. So if anyone wants her to take your pictures just give me a call and I can give you her number. The Countdown

When I started school a year and a half ago I knew that it would be hard, but we managed to survive. Then this summer I went brain dead and decided that not only did I want to take 15 credit hours at the University, but I wanted to do it pregnant. I really want to know where all my friends were when I made this decision-you were supposed to stop me!!! Then Alex decided that it would be awesome if he could coach the freshman basketball team on top of everything. Needless to say we have been very busy and very stressed out lately. But on the bright side-the end is coming-in a good way. I graduate in 16 days and only have 5 more days of class. So bring it on-I might be clinically insane before the 16 days are up-but I will still have a degree!!! Anyway-I just wanted to let everyone know why I have been a nutcase lately and promise that I will be normal soon. I also wanted to give a shout-out to my wonderful Mom who has watched my kids numerous times the last few weeks-often with just 5 min. notice. My kids love you-you are the best!!!

Husband Tag

My awesome sister in law tagged me and I have never done a tag before so I decided to try it. Here is some info about my awesome husband.

1) Where did you meet? We met at the institute down at University of Arizona. I had seen him around and asked someone about him and they told me to forget it because he never talked to anyone and was hard to get to know. One day I sat in the chair next to him and said hi and he talked almost non-stop for the next 2 hours.

2) How long until you got married? After that day we became friends, but we didn't start dating for another 3 months. We got engaged a year later and married 5 months after that.

3) How long have you been married? We have been married 7 1/2 years.

4) What is your favorite feature on him? So many things-but I think that my favorite is how tall he is.

5) What is your favorite quality about him? I love his sense of humor. He is a little hard to get to know, but when you do you will find that he is so funny-in a very sarcastic, corny way-he can always make me laugh.

6) Does he have any nicknames for you? He is very romantic and usually calls me-Hey You (can you sense the sarcasm.)

7) What is his favorite food? He is not very picky-he likes practically everything, but he loves southern cooking like country fried steak and fried okra.

8) What is his favorite sports to watch? College Basketball-especially the Arizona Wildcats. We can never make plans during March for fear of interrupting March Madness.

9) When was your first kiss? We had been dating for a week and I walked out with him to his truck to get something and he just grabbed me and kissed me.

10) What is your favorite thing to do as a couple? We love to go out to dinner together and watch movies at home. Alex buys almost every movie so if anyone ever wants to borrow one-give me a call.

11) Do you have kids? We have two little girls and a boy due in March.

12) Does he have a hidden talent? I'm not sure it is so hidden, but he is good at basketball. He plays with some guys in our ward and he loves it so much. He has actually just started coaching the freshman team at his school and is excited to get the season started.

13) How old is he? Old!!! Just kidding-he will turn 31 this December.

14) Who said "I love you first"? I can't even remember!! I think that we both knew from the beginning that we were going to get married that it wasn't that big of a moment-almost like a formality. I just asked him and he told me to say that he did to make him look good!!

15) What do you admire most about him? I love the dad that he is. I was a little worried when I married him because he didn't seem that into kids,but as soon as Olivia was born he absolutely adored her and is an amazing dad. He takes care of them 3 nights a week by himself while I am in class and they complain when I am there-Olivia tells me to go to school. They love him so much.

16) What is his favorite music? He used to like country music the best, but now that he is teaching high school he knows all of the "cool" music that the kids listen to.

17) Do you think that he will read this? Yeah-mostly because I already told him I was doing it.

On temple square in Salt Lake he carried Abby in his jacket the whole time to keep her warm. I don't think there is anything sexier than a man carrying a baby.

Quilt Blogs

I have recently found some really cute quilting blogs and I now spend all my free time looking at other peoples quits and looking for cute fabric. One of my favorites is a girl named Camille-and she is having a free give away. Getting ready for Halloween

Some of Alex's family came last weekend to see Olivia in her primary program. While they were here we decided it would be fun to make Halloween treats. We started out carving pumpkins.

Of course we made the girls take out the pumpkin "guts". Alex also told them he cut off the pumpkins brains when he cut the top off.

Olivia picked a great pattern from the pumpkin pattern book and Alex got started.

The girls were very happy with the results!!

Then I made some sugar cookies and Alex wanted the girls to "paint" the cookies like he did when he was little. They had so much fun-but I think that Alex had the most fun.

Here is the finished product-I only let them have 2 colors but I think they turned out beautiful and they were very tasty!!

By the way-it was not a great idea to carve the pumpkins 2 weeks before Halloween. We went outside yesterday to find the jack o lantern had collapsed into itself and pumpkin juice was all over the front porch. The girls were very upset!!!

Halloween Party

Last Saturday we had our ward Halloween party. The girls were so excited to dress up, they had trouble waiting until 5:00. They went as fairy butterflies and they were adorable. Abby loved the other princesses and characters, but she hated the vampires and Yoda (our bishop). Their Wolfley cousins were able to come and share the good times. Here are some great pictures of them having fun.

Girls in the Hood

This semester one of my classes wasn't offered at night so I had to sign up on Friday morning. I was kind of stressing out about finding someone to watch the girls that wouldn't charge me too much and was reliable. One of my friends from the ward offered to watch them on Fridays if I would watch her kids on Tuesdays. I can't believe how well this has worked out for us. My girls now refer to her girls as their best friends and they play so well together. It has also given me the chance to get to know Amber better and we have become really good friends. It has been a great experience (I hope Amber feels the same-if not, there is only 9 weeks left of school). Last week, the girls thought it was too cold outside (95) and they needed sweaters. Not any sweater would do-it had to have a hood. Here are some pictures I took of them in their sweaters.

Zoo Days

Last Saturday we had free tickets to the Phoenix Zoo so we loaded up the girls to go see the animals. What someone forgot to tell us was that even though is was the middle of September, we would almost die of heat exhaustion. It was so hot, Olivia kept asking if we could find some shade and Abby was chanting "water, water, water" the whole time. We only stayed 2 hours and then we needed to leave.

The girls love this carousel-Olivia tried to shove a little boy because he was on the Lion and that is what she wanted. I finally got her to settle for the tiger.

Bring on the Blue!!!

We went yesterday for an early ultrasound and we are having a boy!!! Of course this is not 100% sure since it is still pretty early, but it definitely looked like a boy. We are very excited, mostly to have a change of color around here. It seems like everything in our house is so pink lately(Abby cries if I don't put her in a pink shirt) that it will be a nice change of pace. It will also be nice because we just had a baby boy born on my side of the family and Alex's Brother is having a boy in January so he will have some good boy cousins to play with. Other than that the Ultrasound was awesome. Everything looked normal and healthy and he was just moving like crazy in there. The tech said that he was measuring a little big, but for now my due date is the same.

Baby #3 is on his/her way!!!

So a lot of you know already, but we are expecting baby #3 in March. I have been waiting to announce it until I heard the heartbeat which we heard today. Everything looks and sounds great and we have an ultrasound scheduled for 2 weeks from today. The girls are very excited especially Olivia who asked the Doctor today if she was going to take the baby out now so she could see him (she can't decide whether she wants a boy or a girl). I don't think that they understand how long babies take to grow. It might be a long 7 months.

Crazy Little Girl

I got out of the shower this morning and this is what I found Abby wearing.

All I have to say is Wow!! I especially love the hair that looks like horns because she pulled out her pigtails this morning. She is such a funny little girl and loves to dress up and laugh. I do wonder about her fashion sence though.

Happy Birthday Abby!!!

So this is a little late-but better late than never right!! Our little Abby turned 2 years old about 2 weeks ago. We had a party with my family for all of the August birthdays earlier in the month so we decided just to do a party with our little family. She didn't want a cake-she wanted cupcakes. I didn't even know she knew the difference!

We got her this cute little couch for her birthday present and she loved it!! This is how she always sits in it.

Wyoming

For those of you who don't know, we were able to go stay in my family's home in Wyoming for 3 weeks this summer. It was so awesome. I know to some people it sounds like a very boring vacation, but for us it was amazing. We were able to play outside everyday because the temperature was about 75-80 degrees all the time. Here are some things that we were able to do on our trip.We went fishing. Alex even bought the girls their own fishing poles so they could participate with him. They had so much fun. Olivia pole had a plastic butterfly on the end instead of a hook(we're not stupid) and tons of real very colorful butterflies started flying all around her. I told her that they liked her butterfly and she got real serious and told me that they were making fun of her butterfly. When I asked why she said "because they are real and she is fake". It was so funny, but also kind of sad because it made her sad to think of them making fun of her butterfly. Anyway, we had a great time and as you can tell it was absolutely beautiful.My sister Sara brought her kids up to stay for a little over a week and Olivia had so much fun with them. They played outside and we would not see them for hours. Olivia was so sad when they had to leave.

There was some work involved. We were assigned to paint the fence that goes all around the property while we were there so in proper Wolfley fashion-we made the kids do it. They actually could do a fairly good job and they loved it-especially because my dad was in charge and they just adore him. We also told them we wouldn't do their hair until they were done:)

We also had the Michalson Family reunion, but of couse I forgot to take pictures. The girls were able to get a lot of sewing projects done and the boys watched a lot of history channel. Over all it was a great vacation and it really gave us a good long break before the hectic semester begins.

Hair Cuts

The girls hair had been driving me crazy before our vacation so when we got to Utah we took them to get their hair cut at a place called cookie cutters. It was the cutest place. They had a bunch of movies to pick and at every station they had dvd players to watch their movie. The chairs were shaped like cars or airplanes. The best part was that the girls that worked there specialized in cutting little kids hair so they were fast and worked around them moving. It was such a great experience and their hair turned out so cute. Here are some before and after pictures.

4th of July Fun

For the 4th this year we were in Utah with my Sister. Most of my family ended up there on their way on different vacations so we had a big family dinner and then let the kids play games in the yard. We had so much fun!!



They had a slip n' slide set up and the kids loved it. This was Olivias first time on one and she was awesome. She had no fear and would jump and slide with the best of them.



Abby didn't want to slide, she just wanted to model her swimsuit in the little pool at the end. "Hey good lookin'"

Next they had gunny sack races. The kids were having lots of fun until the "men" decided they wanted a turn. We even had a special appearence on the end from cousin it. Who lets their children out in public with hair like that?




Ammon really wanted to win-check out that face-pure determination. He was so set on winning that he pushed over his 5 yr old nephew in order to win.



He didn't stop at this-he then rubbed it in their faces and did a victory dance. I'm so glad that then men in our family are so mature.

Vern wasn't so mean and Warren took him-poor Vern.

Later that night we set some fireworks off in the street while the kids screamed and my brother Dennis complained that they weren't cool enough. All in all it was a great day and everyone had a good time. Thanks to Sara and Doug for letting us mess up their house and eat all their food-we will be back next year.
