And we have a Whopper!!
There are some girls that get pregnant and look so cute the whole time-I am not one of those girls-I get enormous-to the point that people point and stare. You think I'm kidding-but I'm not. However, with both of the girls, I always measured normal and they were larger than average, but not huge-8lbs 2oz. Today I went in for an ultrasound because I was measuring larger than normal. And yes, I am only 32 weeks along and his head is measuring at 36 weeks and the rest of him is measuring at 34 weeks. The tech estimates that he is already 4.5 to 5 pounds. Is it a bad thing when the ultrasound tech laughs at you because your baby's head is gigantic??

My Experiment
Alex has been gone almost every night lately at games and I promised myself when I was finished with school that I wouldn't just sit around and watch TV all night long. So I have lots of sewing projects started to keep me busy in the evenings when the kids are in bed. My first project was an experiment. I bought a nice rocking chair for the baby a few months ago-but the cover was dirty and not very attractive, so I decided to make a new slip cover. It actually turned out really cute-but I was worried about it till the bitter end.
Here is chair before I messed with it. See how plain and boring it is.
Here is the finished project. I used a wide corduroy fabric and not only do I think it looks better, but it is much more comfortable.
The girls seem to love it. Now I have a very important question for those of you that actually look at my blog. In the next picture you can see the wood rockers-do you think that I need to paint them to match the fabric or are they OK that wood color. Let me know what you think.

Graduation
Again-I am a little behind on this post, but I wanted to post pictures of my graduation. Alex took some pictures-but our camera ran out of batteries half way through the program so luckily, my SIL Joyce had her camera and took some great pictures for me. It is so great to be done!!!
I could barely fit the belly under the gown.
I had the best little cheering section!!

The girls loved the hat-they wore it all day.
It ended up being a great day-I really thought it was going to rain which would have really sucked because it was all outside-but the weather was nice even if it was a little cold. Afterward we all went to eat at Garcias-one of my favorite restaurants. So thanks for all of my family that came to support me-I love you guys!!!

Christmas
So I am a little late with the post-I have been very busy doing nothing all day to make up for the craziness of last semester. I actually don't have any pictures of the girls on Christmas morning, but they had a great time. Once Abby saw the candy in her stocking-she didn't want to open any presents-just candy!! I did get some pictures of our Christmas eve party though. We went to my Mom and Dads house with all of my brothers and sisters minus one brother. My SIL Joyce has all the costumes and a program to do the nativity. It is really fun to get the kids dressed up and they absolutely love it.

My brother made a great donkey for Mary.

We also had a very authentic manger for baby Jesus.

There was a really cute Shepard!!
And a extremely feminine wise man.

Tree Skirt and Stockings
Last Christmas, I felt like the worst mom because Abby didn't even have a stocking. So this year I went out shopping for a new tree skirt and stockings so our family could have matching stockings. They were all so expensive and I didn't love any of them, so I decided to make them. When I was growing up "santa" liked to put lots of little presents in our stockings and I wanted this same tradition, but most stockings are too small. So I decided that we needed gigantic stockings. I love the way the turned out, but I realize that some people think they are weird-I don't care. They were awesome on Christmas morning!!! Here are some pictures of my new tree skirt and stockings. By the way-I always wanted a star shaped tree skirt, but didn't realize until it was already made that this would mean that I would have to bind 6 corners and 6 half-corners-next time, it will just be a circle!!
